SCLEROSIS

What is sclerosis?
It is a common and serious disease that strikes human arteries leading to internal lesions in those vessels. They become thicker and less flexible and can eventually be blocked by cholesterol concernments.

Cholesterol is guilty.
The average daily consumption of cholesterol should not exceed ca. 300mg (this is one egg, 100g of diary products). Another problem is excessive consumption of saturated fatty acids: cream, butter, fatty meat. If this kind of food is combined with personal genetic predisposition, then health problems may appear.

Saturated fats and free radicals fasten the process of cholesterol oxidation. The immune system treats oxidized fats as foreign body. To counteract, the systems sends numbers of its “warriors” (macrophages and leucocytes). However, if the false enemy is to numerous then the white blood cells die, their remains stick to the internal side of the vessels initiating the forming of the atherosclerotic plaque.
After some time the initial pathological tissue is replaced by minerals, mostly calcium. Those minerals can accumulate even without prior excessive intake of saturated fat. Some research prove that those minerals may come from bones, weakened by the process of osteoporosis.

Cholesterol is important, but is it the major cause?
The recent research has proved that the most vulnerable spots inside our vessels, where atherosclerotic plaque can form are places in which the vessel tissue has been damaged, mostly by some external causes: bacteria, viruses or fungi (and toxins produced by them). Microorganisms that inhabit our bodies produce toxins and enzymes that can damage our tissues, including arteries, veins and heart the myocardium. The toxins may break the intermolecular bonds between molecules that form proteins and thus create spots where sclerosis can begin.

Other researches prove that all kinds of natural and synthetic chemical compounds present in the environment and absorbed by the human body may be toxic. Some symptoms may be visible after a short period of time, while the negative influence of others can remain concealed for a long period of time. All of them however, have irritating and destructive influence on our tissues, including blood vessels. Like in the previous case, those damages can lead to the formation of atherosclerotic plaque.

Sclerosis has negative influence on many organs
Oxygen deficiency (or hypoxia) of the heart is caused by sclerosis, blocking the proper circulation of blood and leads to sudden pain attacks (known as coronary pains). They appear even during the shortest, but intensive physical effort, when the demand for oxygen is the highest. The oxygen deficiency can also strike brain and kidneys.

Heart problems
As a result of the formation of atherosclerotic plaque the diameter of blood vessels decreases and the blood has serious problems with passing through such partially-blocked vessels. To improve blood circulation the heart starts pumping blood faster. More intensive heartbeat leads to the hyperplasia of that organ. Overgrew heart requires more oxygen to work properly, the oxygen that cannot be supplied by the ineffective circulatory system suffering from sclerosis.

Sclerosis as a consequence of blood hypertension
On of the causes of sclerosis is the so called essential hypertension, which cause remains unknown as yet. The blood vessels are able to withstand the increased blood pressure, but as an effect they become thicker, less flexible and with smaller internal diameter. This makes the blood pressure grow even higher and the whole process begins once again.

What causes strokes and heart attacks?
In a situation, when a damaged vessel bursts the blood platelets form a plug inside this vessel. If it is large enough and located in one of the coronary arteries, then it may cause a heart attack, or a stroke, if the plug blocks one of the arteries supplying blood for the brain.

Some of the recent researches document that the above mentioned lesions can also hamper the transportation of one of the gases, very important for the circulatory system – nitric oxide. This gas not only reduces blood pressure but also broadens blood vessels, thus improving the overall effectiveness of the circulatory system and protecting it from sclerotic lesions.

It is essential to ensure the nitric oxide can protect your blood vessels.
Sufficient level of this compound prevents oxidation of cholesterol, and thereby the aggregation of blood platelets on the vessels’ walls that create sclerosis focuses.

The blood platelets are significant for the formation of atherosclerotic plaque. Too many blood platelets hasten the formation of plugs that create severe risk of a heart attack.

The disease is genetically transmitted.
It has been proved that some people have natural predisposition for sclerosis. In other words, if your parents or grandparents suffered from it, then you should pay more attention to your level of cholesterol. Regular medical examination is strongly recommended.

Sclerosis is a silent killer.
The major fact, showing how serious disease is sclerosis, is that nowadays it has become the main cause of heart failures. What is more it can develop concealed for many years without visible symptoms, and many of us live unaware of it. Pain and other symptoms appear in the final stage of the disease, but then the only possible cure is an operation and bypasses. Note that even the most sophisticated examination methods can fail to reveal lesions in other vessels.

Sclerosis causes heart diseases – 50% of deaths in Poland are caused by heart failures.

Reassuming, the main causes of sclerosis are:
-         High level of cholesterol
-         Infections and chemicals damaging blood vessels
-         Osteoporosis – calcium n blood
-         Free radicals that oxidize cholesterol
-         Several diseases – diabetics, hypertension, stress, obesity
-         Unhealthy lifstyle – overuse of alcohol, stimulants, lack of physical activity, and deskbound work and sedentary lifestyle
-         Smoking – nicotine and toxins from the smoke
-         Genetic inclinations

How can we strengthen our body and prevent the development of sclerosis, even if the process has already began?

We have to act quickly, as the following are unquestionable facts:
-         50% of deaths in Poland is caused by heart failures
-         People with high levels of cholesterol cannot eliminate it, even despite radical diets
-         After bypasses are implanted the patient needs to take several pharmaceuticals that are not neutral for the organism.
-         Traditional medicine has not found a “golden cure” for sclerosis yet
-         This disease is insidious and develops without visible symptoms

Strengthen your body!

Why the Inuit do not suffer from sclerosis?
The omega 3 acids are responsible for this. They have been recommended for many years as a natural remedy for sclerosis, heard diseases and hypertension. The Omega 3 dietary supplement from CaliVita prevents the blood platelets from aggregating and thus it reduces the risk of embolus. What is more, this supplement contains vitamin E, which eliminates free radicals that also have fundamental influence on sclerosis. Vitamin E protects your heart.

Another supplement worth mentioning is Nopalin. It has comprehensive influence, but for us the most important is the fact that it can reduce the concentration of cholesterol, triglycerides and sugar in blood. It is a good source of easily absorbed proteins, vitamin C and bioflavonoides.

The next essential antioxidant is vitamin C, which works similarly to vitamin E. This can be found in large amounts in the C 500 dietary supplement. It contains as much as 500mg of this vitamin which is slowly released to the system within 18 hours after intake. In any other case the vitamin would be extracted from the organism in a very short time.

Garlic Caps contains garlic and parsley extracts. Garlic has been known from centuries as a comprehensive natural medicine. It helps to regulate heartbeat, eliminates clots and contractions of coronary vessels. As a result the heart is better supplied with oxygen and nutrients and its effectiveness increases. This claim has been presented and discussed in a professional American scientific magazine “American Heart Journal”. Many independent researchers prove that garlic is one of the best natural medicines in sclerosis prevention. It is able to increase the concentration of so called bad cholesterol (LDL), while increasing the amount of good cholesterol (HDL). It also lowers blood pressure.

Cholestone is a dietary supplement designed especially for people with high concentration of cholesterol in blood. Its substrates have been selected to ensure the best efficiency possible. The content is: linseed oil, apple pectin, garlic, vitamin C, vitamin E, chromium, soya lecithin. This is a complex supplement, which can replace many other, including those presented in this article.

The last and perhaps the most interesting dietary supplement that we would recommend for people in risk of sclerosis is Polynesian Noni Juice. This complex supplement strengthens body as whole and stimulates the immune system. Its compounds help the organism to maintain proper level of nitric oxide. This gas not only reduces blood pressure but also broadens blood vessels, thus improving the overall effectiveness of the circulatory system and protecting it from sclerotic lesions.

What else can we do?
As you could read in the above article, one of the major causes leading to sclerosis are damages and lesions of blood vessels caused by external factors – bacterial, viral and fungicidal infections. According to this, it is also important to maintain general good health to prevent infections to develop and spread. To do so, you can use on of the supplements from the Vital series. They protect not only from minor infections but also from serious deficiency of vitamins and minerals. Each of the following supplements has been designed for people having certain blood group.

-         Vital 0, Vitamins + herbal extracts for people with blood group 0
-         Vital A, Vitamins + herbal extracts for people with blood group A
-         Vital AB, Vitamins + herbal extracts for people with blood group AB
-         Vital B, Vitamins + herbal extracts for people with blood group B

For kids and seniors we recommend:

-         Lion Kids – multivitamin for children
-         Full Spectrum – multivitamin for children over 12 years and adults
-         Senior Formula – for people over the age of 50

We often claim that our health is the most important thing in the world, but what actually do we do to keep our bodies healthy and fit?

Good quality dietary supplements are perhaps the best and the cheapest way you can protect your life and overall health, as preventing is better that curing.

Intake of dietary supplements containing vitamins and minerals should be based on your knowledge about healthcare, disease prevention and of course on your consciousness. This is the most economical solutions to keep your body healthy – much cheaper then possible future visits in a hospital, medical examinations and buying expensive pharmaceuticals !!!
